How to Stay Present During Birth

When you're in the middle of labor, it can sometimes be hard to focus on anything but the sensations in your belly. A great tip to bring you "back to the present" can be to take a deep breath and then focus on concrete things you can feel, smell, hear, or taste. Using your senses helps keep you grounded in reality and can help alleviate the feeling of "spinning out of control."
